Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Office and Administration Assistant tenable at the Hospital along Chileka Road in Blantyre.
Position Context
Reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the Office and Administration Assistant will assist with the efficient and effective administration of offices.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- To sweep, mop and vacuum floors to remove dirt and debris
- To dust furniture, fixtures and surfaces to maintain a tidy appearance
- To wipe down desks, tables and other surfaces to remove spills and grime
- To clean windows and glass partitions to maintain visibility and clean appearance.
- To empty trash bins.
- To sort and deliver mail from one office to another
- To keep inventory of office supplies and ordering new ones.
- To take and deliver messages.
- To serve tea and other refreshments to managers
- To photocopy documents on behalf of managers.
- To assist with filing of documents.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- A Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent with credit in English.
- At least 2 years relevant experience in a busy organization.
- A certificate in Office Management or a related field will be an added advantage
