Dr. Ndaziona Peter Kwanjo (NPK) Banda – Experienced Medical Specialist
A distinguished Malawian medical professional specializing in respiratory medicine. He serves as a Senior Lecturer and Respiratory Physician at the University of Malawi's College of Medicine. Dr. Banda earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Malawi in 2003. He completed specialist training in Internal Medicine in 2011, followed by a Pulmonology Fellowship in 2017.
In his academic role, Dr. Banda is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Clinically, he practices at Queen Elizabeth Central and Teaching Hospital, where he contributes to patient care in medical wards and clinics.
Dr. Banda's research interests focus on lung function in patients with tuberculosis and those who are HIV-positive. He has contributed to studies exploring respiratory symptoms following tuberculosis treatment completion.
Additionally, he has co-authored publications in the International Journal of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
